An asana is the seat you place before the altar: a clean, dedicated surface for prayer, meditation or seating a deity. Our handwoven chatai mats come from craft communities in India and are available in square sizes from 18 to 24 inches and rectangular runners up to 22 x 45 inches, so there is a size for a single person, a family pooja or a decorated mandir shelf.

Use them during Diwali and Navratri pooja, daily aarti, yoga or simply as a natural accent beneath an urli or tea light arrangement. The woven texture adds warmth to a pooja room without competing with idols and decor.

Every piece ships worldwide, with pickup available in Milpitas, Fremont, Hayward and Dallas.
